Hidden away from Male' by seaplane, a strong desert island candidate

A quick disclaimer, this was my first experience of the Maldives upon arriving in the country during sunset on a perfect blue-skyed April afternoon in the country, before having the beach to myself under a warm moon-lit sky before dinner.  It was a impressive introduction and I suspect the resort itself would be best enjoyed for those wanting a quiet, sun-laden week on the circular beach that almost perfectly rings this island.  But for the short stay, the beach and bar experience is something I will never forget.  Somewhat a quiet resort while i was there, the resort has multiple bars wth the highlight being a hostelry positioned over the water like its water villas where snorkellers may come straight upstairs from the water into the bar.  With the usual spa and dive facilties ex pected from all resorts, there also seemed to be a strong selection of dive sites including night and wreck dives for more experienced adventurers.  Sandy floors and high wooden roofs, there is a rustic appeal to the decor, but the resort as evidenced by some of the deals found online, is not pushing for top-class luxury.  If you enjoy time by yourself and fancy feeling seemingly lost in the Indian Ocean this may certainly be a pleasant consideration.
